The Karis Befriends project is about supporting older people who feel isolated and lonely, encouraging and enabling older people to connect and flourish later in life. We visit and befriend people in their own homes and also through regular social events and trips.
We also offer the Karis Befriends Advice Project, which helps with benefit checks, welfare queries, completing paperwork and making phone calls about benefits etc, particularly to people with mental health challenges. This can be offered over the phone or in the office, or at your own home.
We continue to work in mainly Ladywood, Harborne and Edgbaston areas.
